St Paul’s

St Paul’s is a spacious Victorian church with a history dating back to the 1870s (closed for building works from 7 October 2019 until autumn 2020). Larger than St Matthew’s, it was built due to the increasing population of what was originally a rural suburb. Here, the Book of Common Worship is used at our vibrant 9.30 am Sunday Parish Eucharist, which welcomes people of all ages. Families with children and young people are well provided for, with lots of different activities and opportunities to be part of the worship. We would be delighted if you would like to join us one Sunday up at Western Primary Church School while the Building for Life project is underway in the church.

On Mondays and Tuesdays, Evening Prayer is said at 4.30 pm, and on Wednesdays at 4 pm, in the parish rooms. Please do come along.

The St Paul’s site is home to the St Paul’s Pre-School and Toddler Group, and often concerts and other events take place. Please see our calendar for more details of what’s coming up soon.
