Green light for Building for Life

At St Paul’s we received a Building for Life Easter gift we’d been hoping for but not expecting quite so soon! The Church of England has its own planning permission process for internal changes to churches. After much very careful work by our architect and the team at St Paul’s we now have what’s called a Faculty – the permission we need. This really is great news and we are grateful to everyone who has made it possible, including all who have been praying for this success.

We expect to receive the necessary planning permission from Winchester City Council relating to the improvements to the entrance driveway in the next few weeks. We will then have all the permissions we need.

The next challenge is to raise the remaining money to meet our fund-raising target! Plans for this are well in hand and a wonderful team of volunteers are working hard preparing and submitting grant applications. Please pray for them, led by Bill Lucas and with Bryony Blazeby as our grants co-ordinator.

Our Community Day on Saturday 12 May will be a wonderful community focus on where we’ve got to and how we see the coming months. Look forward to seeing you there!
