Christian meditation group

‘Be still and know that I am God.’ (Psalm 46:10)

We meet for silent meditation in the Christian tradition, supported by the World Community for Christian Meditation (WCCM), which sends us CDs of short talks and other resources. We listen to a brief reflection followed by a short recorded talk, which helps lead us into our time of meditation. The talk is nourishing; it is normally given by one of the spiritual directors of WCCM or by guests such as Rowan Williams or Richard Rohr. Our meditation is aided by using a prayer word that we silently turn to, to help us be still and with God.

The group is ecumenical (interchurch) and open to all; new people are welcome throughout the year. We meet from 7.30 to 8.30 pm on Tuesdays in the parish rooms behind St Paul’s. Please contact us for more information, or simply turn up.
