Our annual Community Day is held on the first or second Saturday of May and is a fantastic celebration of the local and wider community. With refreshments, games, charity stalls, dancing, music and much more, this is an event not to be missed. Up to a thousand people pass through the St Paul’s site, enjoying a fun day out as well as raising money for the parish.
This has become an annual September event, with 40–50 of the congregation camping in the New Forest or making a day-trip to visit. The weekend usually includes swimming, walking, beer, ice creams and sitting and chatting around the fire and over shared food. On the Sunday, Canon Peter Seal celebrates the Eucharist in a special outdoor service.
The Annual Show is a wonderful enactment of a Bible passage or theme by our children and young people. Usually held in January or February at St Paul’s Church, this is a chance for children of all ages to get involved in whatever way they are comfortable – from playing an instrument to acting, dancing or singing.
