Under lockdown, our plan is that:
- Both churches will continue to be open each day. We will continue to sanitise door handles and other surfaces, and are trusting visitors to touch as few things as possible.
- There will be no services with a congregation in either church for the next few weeks; this will be reviewed regularly.
- There will be a pre-recorded 9.30 Sunday Eucharist from St Paul’s each week. To keep us all as safe as possible, just two people will be present: the priest and John Schulz making the recording.
- The weekly pre-recorded Sunday children’s service will continue, thanks to Mary Copping and Olli Wilson-Smith.
As we know so well, we’re in changeable days. The planning team will do everything they can to get us back to more normal worship in both churches just as soon as it is safe to do so.
Parish groups and meetings continue to be on hold. Normally there are several opportunities to attend services at both churches each week, and the general pattern is set out below.
St Matthew’s offers traditional worship in a small, ancient, friendly setting through its Sunday and Wednesday services.
St Paul’s provides a vibrant 9.30 am Sunday Eucharist which welcomes people of all ages. Families with children and young people are well provided for with lots of different activities and opportunities to be part of the worship.
Please do join us one week. You would be warmly welcome.
