Regular services

In the light of recent developments the clergy and churchwardens ask that if you are planning to attend any services or events at St Paul’s or St Matthew’s you would:

  • please complete a lateral flow test just before attending
  • continue to wear a face mask, use hand sanitiser, distance from others and wrap up warmly, as we will ventilate the church well

As ever we will be monitoring the situation carefully on a weekly, sometimes daily, basis to do our best to keep everyone safe. We have suspended refreshments until the Covid situation improves, but we very much look forward to worshipping with you at either of our churches!

The 9.30 Eucharist is live-streamed each week. If you are feeling even the slightest under the weather, please take part from home.

Both churches are open each day, and we carry on sanitising door handles and other surfaces, trusting visitors to touch as few things as possible.

Various parish groups and meetings are running, including Tuesday evening Christian meditation, Thursday Zoom coffee mornings, Thursday homegroup and our toddler group on Fridays.

There are opportunities to attend services at both churches each week, and the general pattern is set out below.

St Matthew’s offers traditional worship in a small, ancient, friendly setting through its Sunday and Wednesday services.

St Paul’s provides a vibrant 9.30 am Sunday Eucharist which welcomes people of all ages. Families with children and young people are well provided for with lots of different activities and opportunities to be part of the worship. Some weeks there are also Sunday 4 pm services particularly suitable for families; see the welcome sheet for details.

Please do join us one week. You would be warmly welcome.

These are the standard times for each week, but may be subject to change. Please check this week’s welcome sheet to make sure. Click here for details of how to find us. If you would like to join our electoral roll, click here to download a form.
